Beth Israel Health Care System: A Second Century of Caring

This video (circa 1987-1998) provides a survey of the services and ethicsof care provided at Beth Israel Hospital at that time. It overviews theHospital’s history and its many buildings and campuses, and details itsmany activities, including: AIDS care, addiction treatment, psychiatric care,emergency services, hospice care, obstetrics, as well as research inAlzheimer’s disease and breast cancer. It also mentions several divisions ofthe Hospital, notably the Japanese Medical Practice and the SchnurmacherNursing Home. It celebrates the work of doctors, nurses, graduatestudents, nurse’s aids, researchers, administrators, volunteers,philanthropists, trustees, and patients, who make the care and research atthe Hospital possible.
